A modern downtown home with timeless elegance
When we began designing this downtown apartment, our main goal was a unified concept in which classic proportions meet today’s modern way of living without strain. We did not want to create a museum, but a space whose every detail radiates calm, quality and timeless design.
The harmony of the shared space
We opened the living–dining–kitchen axis into one to gain a bright, generous space. Gently panelled walls and warm oak surfaces create an elegant yet friendly atmosphere. The built-in media unit and concealed lighting give a clean frame, while throughout the design we made sure that looks would never come at the expense of function.
The kitchen was designed as a visual continuation of the living room, working with light fronts and natural stone surfaces. At its focus we placed an island that is not only the scene of morning coffees but the true social core of the home.
Private zones: retreating in style
In the bedroom, perfect rest takes the lead. A symmetrical arrangement, warm tones and layered soft textiles ensure the room quiets the bustle of downtown.
One of our favourite parts of the project was the boutique-style wardrobe. We thought beyond built-in cabinets: integrated lighting, open shelving and a comfortable island bench create a clear, ordered space that sets the tone for every morning.
The result
A respect for detail runs through the apartment: from the gently panelled walls to light of just the right colour temperature, everything points in one direction. This project is not about passing trends, but about a balanced, lasting city home that is genuinely good to arrive at when the day ends.
