Modern classic home with clean wooden details
When we began designing this downtown apartment, our chief aim was to shut out the pulse of the city and create a timeless, uncluttered refuge. Through the deliberate layering of natural materials and a restrained palette, we shaped a space that slows you down and settles you from the moment you step inside.
Shared spaces bathed in light
The open space of the living room and kitchen is defined by natural light streaming in through vast glazing. We underlined this airiness with a soft beige sofa and carefully chosen neutral pieces. So that the clean forms would never turn cold, we anchored the space with a textured rug and a solid wood coffee table, securing a warm, homely atmosphere.
Character and contrast in the kitchen
The kitchen’s focal point is unmistakably the island. Its surface is distinguished by custom wood-battened cladding, giving the space a firm character, while the light marble-effect worktop draws an elegant contrast with the warmth of the wood. Brown leather bar stools complete the premium feel — striking to look at, and perfectly suited to daily use.
Fine-tuning the design: softened geometry
One of the most exciting details of the project is the custom-designed curved element running down the side of the built-in cabinet. With this fine piece of joinery we deliberately softened the furniture’s strict, straight lines, creating an unexpected yet all the more harmonious visual focus. Thanks to concealed handles and unified warm beige fronts, visual noise was eliminated entirely.
The result
The outcome is an endlessly refined, modern and timeless interior. Wooden details, natural colours and proportions planned with engineering precision form a calm downtown living space that serves its residents with quiet elegance.
