Natural luxury above the city: a downtown home with a timeless interior
When we received the keys to this premium downtown apartment, we had a single firm goal: to design a unified, high-quality home in which natural materials and refined details hold a flawless, timeless balance.
Generous spaces and a city panorama
By opening the living room, dining area and kitchen into one, we created a remarkably spacious, airy shared space. The natural light pouring through floor-to-ceiling glazing and the city panorama are framed by a calm palette built on beige and warm wood tones. The kitchen was designed so that the fronts and the wood-clad island settle almost imperceptibly into the living space — a soft transition made all the more telling by concealed lighting that draws out the texture of the materials.
A private boutique experience: the wardrobe
We imagined the dressing room not as mere storage but as a genuine premium boutique. Here we reached confidently for darker wood veneer. Glass-fronted cabinets and integrated LED lighting provide clarity and a sense of luxury at once. At the centre stands an island combining a display case with a soft seat, and curved mirrors stretch this private zone optically further still.
A spa refuge from rushing weekdays
In the bathroom our task was to give complete relaxation a visual form. The natural warmth of travertine tiling is joined by a floating wooden vanity and a freestanding bath. Every superfluous visual noise was excluded: the clean glass shower screen and the mirror lifted by concealed backlighting ensure the room remains a true island of calm.
Harmony in the private zones
The main bedroom was shaped as an intimate, inward-looking space. The upholstered bed frame, soft layered textiles and beige shades all serve complete rest. The children’s room was a particular challenge and joy: we wanted to keep the apartment’s elegant, minimalist style while making room for play. The forest-motif wall decoration, natural wood furniture and light colours create a friendly setting that is functional, yet fits the home as a whole perfectly.
The result
We realised a coherent, thought-through concept that proves a modern, restrained language of form can also be endlessly warm and inviting. With the disciplined balance of wood, stone and natural colours, we handed over an elegant city home that will still hold its own decades from now.
